Transforming Click and Collect into a true customer service

Shoppers will buy goods worth £4bn using Click and Collect services in 2018, according to a study in March 2013 from retail analysts Verdict. That’s two-thirds more than today, says Verdict, which predicts the growth will come as people continue to look for convenience. To win this business Collectec will help retailers offer a store collection experience to match the ease of the on-line ordering process.

Customers want a collection experience that will encourage them to use the service again and not leave them disappointed. Customers shouldn’t have to join lengthy customer service or till point queues that add time and frustration to the collection experience.

Collectec plan to change store collection from a task to a true customer service.

Collectec’s “Store Collect” product enables retailers to offer their customers a stress free in-store collection experience.  Using familiar tablet & mobile technology along with bespoke software, customers are connected directly with the store staff by simply scanning their collection information which sends a message to the store. Staff then locate the goods and bring them to the customer. This saves time for the customer enabling them to browse and purchase additional items should they wish to do so. It also makes the retailer more efficient as staff can fulfil their general duties until Collectec’s system notifies them of a collection. It also manages customer requests as the load on the service increases at peak times.

Store Collect redefines the current in store journey of a Click and Collect customer making it a fast, dedicated rewarding experience leading to satisfied customers and repeat business. The product also offers customers the ability to comment on and promote the service they received via the retailer’s social media websites.  The retailer can also monitor the effectiveness of their collection service with timing breakdown data reported live to the store.
